創作方面，本團一直致力於創作不同的舞蹈作品，曾於2002年與香港藝術工作者龍植池合作製作多媒體劇場《呼與吸的傳與奇》，隨後多次創作不同題材的舞蹈劇場，如 《仲等乜?！》、《X個女人，Y個墟》、《各自各精彩》、《異國異想》、《紫．咁形》、《i…..》、《i and me自與己》及《從一片落葉開始》等。
Violet Dance Association was established in 1992 by a group of Macau young dance lovers, aims to promote and develop dance art in Macau, as well as to produce local dance works.
Over the years, Violet has been energetically taking part in the local art events such as Macao Arts Festival, Fringe Festival, the International Youth Dance Festival, Parade Through Macao Latin City, Parade for the Celebration of Lunar Year, as well as performances hosted by charity organizations. Violet was invited to perform overseas for the “Chinese New Year in Lisbon” in Lisbon, Portugal; “Shanghai Expo” for performing in the “Macau Special Day” in 2010. In addition, Violet has been to Germany, Poland, Singapore, Hong Kong, Beijing, Shenzhen and Guangzhou for exchange and performance.
For promotion and education of dance, Violet started to provide training course in 1994 so as to give an opportunity for dance lovers to learn and practice dancing. Furthermore, students have been recommended to participate the annual Chinese Dance Graded Examination hosted by Beijing Dance Academy and achieved satisfactory results. Since 2010, in order to enrich students’ diversity on stage, Violet has started to produce children’s dance theatre, major works are “The Adventures of the Non-Ugly Duckling”, “Alice in the Violet” and “The Secret Gift” . In addition, Violet has held the “Master Dance Workshop” annually from 2011, inviting the experienced dance artists from Hong Kong, Taiwan, Japan, Poland, Denmark, and India to lead a series of different styles of dance workshop. Purposes to provide an opportunity for dance enthusiasts to learn different forms of dance, enrich their dance vocabulary in order to stimulate imagination and creation.
Violet has been creating different dance works, co-produced a multi-media theatre “The Rise and Fall of Breathing” with Hong Kong artist Edwin Lung in 2002. Afterwards Violet carries on producing diverse themes of dance theatre, such as “Waiting for what?”, “Women = Dins?!”, “Did, Splendid”, “Image.Imagination.Exoticism”, “Reflections”, “i …..”, “i and me” and “REmove”.
